God's plan of salvation is so simple, that even a child can understand it. He simply wants us to Ask, Believe, and Confess to Him our sins. Follow this outline for a better understanding of His plan.
I. Recognize that YOU are a SINNER and LOST
A. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23).
B. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one (Romans 3:10).
C. ...There is none that doeth good, no not one (Romans 3:12).
D. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind have taken us away (Isaiah 64:6).
E. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6).
II. Realize that God's Law requires that a penalty be paid for sin
A. For the wages of sin is DEATH; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 3:23)
B. ...The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:46)
III. Recognize that CHRIST PAID the penalty for YOUR sins
A. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures (I Corinthians 15:3).
B. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6).
C. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (II Corinthians 5:21).
D. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24).
IV. Realize that you must:
First, REPENT of your sins
A. I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:3).
B. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19).
C. He that overcometh his sins shall not prosper,; but whoso confesseth and forsake them shall have mercy (Proverbs 28:13).
Second, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ
A. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ., and thou shalt be saved, and thy house (Acts 16:31).
B. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:15).
C. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not on the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him (John 3:36).
D. that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9,10).
Third, RECEIVE Christ
A. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).
B. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20).
If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, please pray the following sincerely from your heart.
Dear God in Heaven, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that He arose from the grave on the third day. Please forgive me of my sins. I invite the Lord Jesus into my life. Cleanse from within and make me whole. I turn away from sin and turn to you Jesus. Thank you for hearing my prayer.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
